Our Tax Services

Our Services

We provide state and federal tax filings for individuals now in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. Our tax team ensures that we stay up to date on law changes to help you maximize your return. We will optimize all deductions and credits available to you through the new tax code. Throughout the year we meet with our clients to implement Roth conversions, leverage the tax code, handle qualified charitable deductions, and other tax planning strategies. As America's IRA Expert, Ed Slott, says, "Tax preparation costs you money; tax planning saves you money!"

IRS & State Tax Representation

Enrolled Agents licensed to represent you before the IRS and state tax authorities at every stage of the process.

WHAT WE HANDLE

  • IRS notices, audits, and appeals
  • Penalty abatement and refund disputes
  • NJ Division of Taxation audits and residency disputes
  • Multi-state income and double-taxation matters
  • Installment agreements and collection alternatives

WHEN TO CALL

  • The moment a notice arrives — before you respond
  • If you've received a penalty you weren't expecting
  • If a prior response has escalated the matter

IRS & State Tax Representation

As Enrolled Agents, we are federally licensed to represent taxpayers before the IRS and state tax authorities, not just prepare returns, but advocate on your behalf when it matters most.

FEDERAL REPRESENTATION

  • When the IRS sends a notice, most people assume they have to respond on their own and accept whatever outcome follows. They don't. We handle IRS correspondence, audits, and appeals on behalf of our clients, presenting documentation, making legal arguments, and pushing back when the IRS gets it wrong. That includes CP notices, underreported inquiries, refund disallowances, and examination findings at every level. Penalty abatement is one of the most overlooked areas in tax representation. The IRS assesses penalties that can frequently be reduced or eliminated through first-time abatement or a reasonable cause argument and most taxpayers pay them without knowing relief was available.

STATE REPRESENTATION

  • State tax authorities operate independently from the IRS and often with less published guidance to work from. We represent clients before the New Jersey Division of Taxation in audits, residency disputes, and appeals. NJ residency audits in particular are aggressive: the state examines domicile factors, days spent in-state, and supporting records in considerable detail. Multi-state income situations — where a NJ resident is also taxed by another state — require careful analysis to ensure the right credits are applied and income isn't taxed twice.

WHEN TO CALL

  • Representation is most effective when it begins early — at the notice stage, before any positions are conceded. If you've received something from the IRS or a state tax authority, the right time to reach out is before your next response, not after!
